Description

Spicy Shrimp & Avocado Phyllo Cups are a delicious blend of crispy pastry and zesty filling, perfect for entertaining or enjoying as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1 lb large shrimp, deveined
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add shrimp seasoned with chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  3. In a bowl, mash avocados with lime juice and cilantro. Once shrimp cools, mix into the avocado mixture.
  4. Layer 4-5 sheets of phyllo dough, cut into squares, and press gently into greased muffin tins.
  5. Bake phyllo cups for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Fill each cup with the shrimp-avocado mixture and serve warm.
