Description

Smash Burger Tacos bring together the juiciness of a burger and the zest of a taco for a flavor-packed meal that’s quick and easy to make.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 8 corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped romaine or iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup pickles (optional)
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients: chop lettuce, dice tomatoes, and set out tortillas.
  2. In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with taco seasoning and let rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Form small balls of seasoned beef and smash each down to about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Cook patties undisturbed for 3–4 minutes until crispy edges form, then flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle cheese on top to melt.
  6. Assemble tacos by layering crispy lettuce, cheesy patty, diced tomatoes, onions, and pickles in each tortilla.
