  • 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
  • 8 rice paper wrappers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 tbsp chili sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Add minced garlic and shredded carrots; cook until tender.
  2. Season: Stir in soy sauce and fold in Thai basil leaves. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Soak rice paper: Dip each wrapper in warm water for about 15 seconds until softened.
  4. Assemble: Place 2 tbsp of the beef mixture on one edge of the wrapper, fold in sides, and roll tightly.
  5. Cook: Pan-fry in oil until golden brown or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes for a healthier option.
