  • 1 cup ground pork (or crumbled tofu)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp chili oil
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame paste
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook the noodles: Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add Chinese wheat noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. Cook the pork: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté ground pork for about 5-7 minutes until browned and crispy.
  3. 3. Add aromatics: Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. 4. Make the sauce: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame paste, chili oil, and a splash of reserved noodle water until smooth.
