Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cherries (pitted and halved)
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 4 oz soda water
  • 2 oz white rum (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, muddle together pitted cherries and mint leaves with sugar until juices are released.
  2. Squeeze in lime juice and mix gently.
  3. If using rum, add it now and fill the glass halfway with ice. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
