Description

Indulge in this tender and flavorful marinated flank steak, perfect for grilling enthusiasts looking to impress at their next gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs flank steak
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • Cilantro (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, lime juice, olive oil, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Place flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish; pour marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F or 200°C).
  4. Remove steak from marinade and place on the hot grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes per side for medium-rare, reaching an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C).
  5. Transfer cooked steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice against the grain into thin strips.
  6. Serve on a platter drizzled with boiled leftover marinade and garnish with cilantro if desired.
