  • 1 box vanilla cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) softened butter
  • 1 cup vanilla frosting
  • 2 cups chocolate melts (any color)
  • 1/2 cup colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, eggs, water, and softened butter until smooth. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  3. Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a bowl. Mix in half of the frosting until moldable.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least an hour until firm.
  5. Melt the chocolate melts in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth.
  6. Dip one end of a lollipop stick into melted chocolate before inserting it into each cake ball. Coat each ball in melted chocolate and decorate with sprinkles before placing back on parchment paper.
