- 1 lb fresh cod or halibut fillets
- 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions and garlic until translucent (about 5 minutes).
- In a bowl, combine fish fillets and shrimp; season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- In another bowl, whisk together heavy cream and shredded cheese until smooth.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the seafood mixture followed by half of the creamy sauce. Repeat layers.
- Top with seasoned panko breadcrumbs.
