Instructions

- Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, maple syrup, bourbon, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, milk, eggs, and melted butter to prepare the waffle batter.
