  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and yeast, letting it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, oregano, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil; stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface; knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle (1/2 inch thick). Cut into strips about 1 inch wide.
  6. Place shredded mozzarella on each strip, fold them over lengthwise, and place on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
