  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs (oregano and basil)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Gradually add flour and salt while stirring until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Once risen, punch down the dough, divide it into small balls (about 2 inches), and arrange them closely in a greased baking dish.
  5. Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over the rolls before sprinkling with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
