  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Maple syrup (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cube the bread and place it evenly in the greased baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes, pressing down gently to soak.
