- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder (Dutch-processed)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth. Stir in the cocoa powder and flour until just combined.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugars until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then fold in the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Dollop cookie dough over it and top with remaining brownie batter.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are set but center is gooey.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
