Description

Banana fritters are a nostalgic treat that brings joy with every bite. These crispy, golden morsels feature sweet, warm bananas encased in a light batter, making them perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Peel and mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth but slightly chunky.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the mashed bananas until just combined.
  4. Heat about an inch of oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Carefully drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil without overcrowding and fry until golden brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side).
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with honey or ice cream.
