  • 8 oz ziti pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil ziti according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onion in olive oil until translucent (about 5 minutes), then add minced garlic.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning.
  5. Fold cooked ziti into the meat sauce mixture until well combined.
  6. In a baking dish, layer half of the ziti mixture, top with half of the mozzarella cheese, then repeat.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
