  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 medium apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Water or milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Toss chopped apples with 1 tbsp sugar and ½ tsp cinnamon; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light; add eggs one at a time followed by milk.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in apple chunks gently.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle extra crumb topping if desired. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For the drizzle, mix powdered sugar with cinnamon and water/milk to desired consistency. Drizzle over cooled cake before serving.
