Description

Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Bars are a delightful way to kickstart your day!   • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk (or plant-based milk)
  • 2 large eggs (or flax eggs for vegan)
  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until frothy. Stir in the chopped apples.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently combine without overmixing.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool for ten minutes before slicing into squares.
