  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 cup chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Mix in eggs one at a time.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chopped apples gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for ten minutes before cutting into squares.
