- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce (divided)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, sauté onion in olive oil over medium heat until translucent. Add garlic for the last minute.
- In a bowl, combine cooked beef, sautéed onions and garlic, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each shell with the beef mixture and arrange in a baking dish coated with half of the marinara sauce.
- Pour remaining sauce over the shells and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until bubbly.
