  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce (or vegetarian alternative)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare chow mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with a little vegetable oil.
  2. Heat a wok over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil until shimmering.
  3. Add minced garlic, followed by shredded cabbage and julienned carrots. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes until softened.
  4. Incorporate cooked noodles and sliced green onions into the pan. Pour in soy sauce and oyster sauce; mix well.
  5. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through. Drizzle with sesame oil before serving.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions if desired.
