Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ lb ground meat (optional)
  • 1 cup vegetables (spinach or bell peppers, optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix marinara sauce with Italian seasoning and cooked ground meat if using.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and combine with mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan. Fold into the drained spaghetti.
  4. Grease a pie dish with olive oil. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture, followed by half of the sauce mixture; repeat layers.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake uncovered for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with extra Parmesan on top.
