- 8 oz spaghetti
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ lb ground meat (optional)
- 1 cup vegetables (spinach or bell peppers, optional)
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix marinara sauce with Italian seasoning and cooked ground meat if using.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and combine with mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan. Fold into the drained spaghetti.
- Grease a pie dish with olive oil. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture, followed by half of the sauce mixture; repeat layers.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake uncovered for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with extra Parmesan on top.
