- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar (divided)
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion until translucent; add minced garlic for one minute.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef with sautéed onion and garlic. Add breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, thyme, ketchup, and half of the balsamic vinegar.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- Drizzle remaining balsamic vinegar over the top.
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
